Tata Power Targets 3 Lakh Rooftop Solar Installations In Uttar Pradesh Over Three Years

Tata Power arm Tata Power Solar Rooftop has launched a ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh aimed at accelerating rooftop solar adoption and expanding access to round-the-clock clean energy for households across the state.

The initiative was launched in Lucknow in partnership with Tata Power Battery Storage, an integrated battery energy storage solutions provider. The campaign combines rooftop solar systems with battery storage and financing support to help consumers meet rising electricity demand in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.

Push For Rooftop Solar In Uttar Pradesh

The company plans to install 3 lakh rooftop solar systems across Uttar Pradesh over the next three years, targeting a cumulative installed capacity of 1,000 MWp. The initiative is designed to improve rooftop solar accessibility by integrating battery storage and easier financing under a single platform.

According to the company, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing rooftop solar markets, supported by policy momentum and increasing demand for clean energy solutions. The state currently offers one of the country’s highest rooftop solar subsidy structures, with benefits of up to Rs 1.08 lakh for systems up to 3 kW under the combined incentives of the PM Surya Ghar scheme and the Uttar Pradesh government subsidy.

Tata Power Solar Rooftop operates under Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power.
