Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Expanded, Eight Ministers Take Oath

The Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath expanded its council of ministers on Sunday, with eight leaders taking oath at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan’s Gandhi Auditorium. The oath was administered by Governor Anandiben Patel in the presence of senior state leaders.

Among the new inductees, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and Manoj Kumar Pandey were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers. Four others—Krishna Paswan, Surendra Diler, Kailash Singh Rajput and Hansraj Vishwakarma—took oath as Ministers of State.

In addition, Ajit Singh Pal and Somendra Tomar were promoted and sworn in as Ministers of State with independent charge.

Following the ceremony, the newly inducted ministers greeted the Governor and the Chief Minister. The auditorium resonated with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Shri Ram” after the oath-taking concluded.

Notably, Chaudhary is a Member of the Legislative Council and a former Uttar Pradesh BJP president, while Pandey represents the Unchahar constituency. Among the Ministers of State, Paswan represents Khaga, Diler Khair, and Rajput Tirwa, while Vishwakarma is also a Member of the Legislative Council.

The event was attended by several senior leaders, including Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, BJP state organisation general secretary Dharampal Singh, and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, among others.
