Noida International Airport To Start Flights From June 15

Commercial operations at Noida International Airport will commence on June 15, 2026, marking a major milestone for aviation connectivity in North India and the wider National Capital Region (NCR).

The first flight from the greenfield airport will be operated by IndiGo, with Akasa Air and Air India Express expected to begin services shortly thereafter. Detailed schedules and destinations are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

The launch is expected to significantly ease congestion at existing NCR airports while strengthening regional connectivity across western Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas. The project aligns with the infrastructure push led by Yogi Adityanath under the broader aviation vision of Narendra Modi.

Regulatory clearance in place, World-class infrastructure
Flight operations will begin following the airport’s formal inauguration and approval of the Aerodrome Security Programme by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, certifying compliance with all safety and operational norms. Developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, the airport features a modern terminal, advanced operational systems, and integrated multimodal connectivity. It is strategically linked to key transport corridors including the Yamuna Expressway and the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways, with future integration planned into a logistics hub supported by the Dedicated Freight Corridor.

Economic and regional impact
The commencement of commercial services is expected to drive economic growth by improving access, generating employment, and attracting investments across sectors such as logistics, tourism, and manufacturing. It also supports Uttar Pradesh’s ambition to emerge as a major aviation and logistics hub.

Currently equipped with a single runway and terminal, the airport has an initial capacity of 12 million passengers annually. Under its long-term master plan, this is set to expand to over 70 million passengers per year, positioning it among India’s largest aviation hubs. With a focus on sustainability, the airport is progressing towards net-zero emissions, combining environmentally conscious design with high operational efficiency.
